For the past several months, I’ve been working on this butterfly garden behind my house.
At the same time, I’ve also been walking through a very serious legal season in my life — and while some may wonder how those two things can exist together, for me they have been deeply connected.
Both have required patience.
Both have required discipline.
Both have required me to slow down, observe, document, reflect, and trust the process.
There have been moments when I’ve had to sit with difficult truths, unexpected discoveries, and a lot of emotion. Through it all, I’ve stayed grounded in what I know, what I’ve lived, and what I continue to document with care.
I know my truth.
I honor my truth.
And I continue to stand in it with grace.
This garden has helped me do that.
And these two trees — Serena and Oliver — have become a sacred part of my daily life. As I cleaned, manicured, planted, questioned, prayed, journaled, and created, they stood quietly beside me. They observed. They listened. They held space.
In this process, I have rediscovered something that feels bigger than just human life. Life breathes through the trees. It sings through the birds. It rises through the soil. It reminds us that we are not alone here — that the earth itself has a way of witnessing, comforting, and grounding us.
Serena and Oliver have become my anchors. My pillars. My quiet companions in a season of reflection, growth, patience, and truth.
Today, we honor them.
Today, we add more beauty around them.
And today, I am grateful for what they have helped me remember: truth has roots, and what is rooted cannot be easily moved. 🌿✨
