Savannah, are you ready to have a good time? Join us in Forsyth Park on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 6:50 pm to get down with the Storyville Stompers Brass Band of New Orleans!

A New Orleans Tradition Since 1981 and two-time winner of the “Best Traditional Brass Band” at the Big Easy Awards, Storyville Stompers are taking the stage with us to help celebrate the American traditions of Dixieland and Jazz Brass Bands! No better way to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday and Bob Faircloth’s 90th Birthday.

As one of the nation's preeminent brass bands, they have performed throughout the U.S., Europe, South America, and Asia. The band plays regularly at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and the French Quarter Festival; they served as the house band for “Live with Regis and Kelly”.

They will take the stage with a traditional Grand Marshall to get our audience up and motivated for the remainder of our magical Saturday night in Forsyth Park!

Preservation doesn’t always win. Historic Savannah Foundation is an influential voice for preservation, but the ultimate decision isn’t always ours to make.

What we can do is show up. Advocate. Educate. Speak up. And when the opportunity exists, take action.

The Kiah House is one of those opportunities—and one of those wins.

After sitting vacant for more than two decades, this important piece of Savannah’s history was acquired by HSF through our Revolving Fund and is now on its way toward a new future.

We can’t save every building. But every place we do save reminds us why this work matters.

On September 26, we’ll gather for Savannah After Sunset, HSF’s Annual Gala and our most important fundraiser of the year. Your support gives us the resources to keep showing up, keep advocating, and keep fighting for the buildings, places, and stories that make Savannah, Savannah.
