Dear Facebook Friends,
In my 73 years on God’s green earth I have visited many hotels around the world. However, I have never, ever, never, and I mean EVER met someone like Emily.
We met on the phone when I was making my reservations. She answered the phone as if she was waiting in joyful anticipation to speak to her favorite great uncle. We talked, laughed and created a family warmth over the phone.
I was excited to visit this hotel, if for no other reason, to know that I was visiting a safe place where I could relax.
I found out that Emily was off today, but she asked her supervisor if she could work on her day off just to meet me.
I want you to know that if an angel ever visited this earth, it as today when I met Emily.
She works at the Farmstead Inn & Conference Center in Shipshewana, IN. If you ever visit, tell her, “Doc, said, hi.”
