"Historic houses show us what colonial New England looked like—but what did it sound like?

Early music ensemble Lyracle explores that question in Musick’s Recreation, a program inspired by documented viol players in colonial New England as well as women and people of color omitted from historical records. Drawing from English repertoire heard in the seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries, Lyracle brings music by Henry Purcell and his contemporaries into a new context, celebrating the full range of historic music-making: the silly, the serious, and everything in between.

Grab a pint of your favorite brew from our friends at the Shoreham Inn and join OCMF’s America 250 celebration in one of the region’s most iconic historic buildings.

Tickets are free but required due to limited venue capacity. This project is supported in part by a grant from Vermont Humanities in partnership with the Vermont 250th Commission."

Thanks to all of the amazing performers and their supporters who took part in June’s Open Mic Night at the Shoreham Inn Pub. It was our biggest crowd yet!

🍓🎻 Cornwall Strawberry Bluegrass Festival 🎻🍓

We caught up with Benjamin Weiss, the Program Director of The Meeting House at Cornwall earlier this week, and he shared an event you might want to check out! We love the riff on strawberry shortcake- combining strawberries and bluegrass, a fun and playful twist! Join neighbors on the Cornwall Town Green this Sunday, June 28, from 3:30–7:00 p.m. for an afternoon of live music, strawberry shortcake, dancing, and community.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket, gather your family and friends, and settle in for a relaxed summer celebration featuring two outstanding Vermont bluegrass bands:

🎶 Sap Line | 3:30–5:00 p.m.
🎶 The Otter Creek Band | 5:30–7:00 p.m.

Enjoy delicious strawberry shortcake made with local strawberries from Purple Barn Farm, soak up the music, and spend time with neighbors old and new. Admission is free, with donations welcome to support the festival and the musicians.

This event celebrates the best of summer in Vermont—great music, local food, and community on the green. Benjamin and a dedicated team of community members and volunteers are bringing the Strawberry Bluegrass Featival to you this weekend!
