Engineer is open again as well(it was closed for the ouray side)

Update 3pm Black Bear Pass and CR K69 (Bridal Veil switchbacks) are now open. Roads crews have completed work but caution motorists that the pass and upper sections of the road remain snow covered and may be impassable.
Black Bear Pass and the Bridal Veil switchbacks (County Road K69) are closed to vehicles and pedestrians from the Bridal Veil parking area in Telluride to the county line due to rockfall and road damage. Crews are working to repair the damage and reopen the road. No estimate time to reopening.

Looks like we're getting the moisture we need without being excessive.
Glad we're getting a break today, more rain tomorrow.

I haven't been out, but I hear visibility is low at times but overall conditions are still ok to good

This is apparently an unusual weather pattern that is more challenging to forecast.
We certainly need the moisture, I just hope it comes in reasonable doses

More rain is coming to already saturated southwest Colorado. 🌧️

A Flood Watch is up Monday through Wednesday as moisture from Hurricane Polo moves in.

Flooding could develop quickly in the San Juans.

A family showed up today with an infant and a grandma...
I love the fact that so many people have such a passion for this area, and want to share it with others.

Im also very thankful for the counties that maintain these roads.

Some of us can't hike this backcountry, but really want to see it
