Whether you are looking for a place for a business meeting, family event, conference or camp, The Ranch has something to offer for everyone. Nestled in a beautiful valley in the Sierra Nevada foothills, just a short drive from both Sequoia National Park and Fresno International Airport, Saint Nicholas Ranch and Retreat Center is one of the most outstanding conference centers in central California.

We operate throughout the year and can accommodate a wide variety of groups and events including conferences, retreats, family gatherings, camps and business meetings. Individual rooms and RV parking are available for visitors to the nearby National Parks. Our facilities include hotel style lodge rooms, dormitories, a dining hall, two large conference rooms and several smaller meeting rooms, along with picnic areas, athletic fields, a pool, a lake, and hiking trails. Offering a quiet and peaceful rural setting we also feature, for your convenience, a few modern touches like free wireless Internet access.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Nick T. Kossaras, one of our beloved founders who made our ministry possible. 46 years ago, Nick and his family donated a large parcel of beautiful foothill land with the intention that a retreat center be built to serve the Metropolis of San Francisco.

From this generous gift, St. Nicholas Ranch & Retreat center was born. While Nick made an impact on numerous charitable causes throughout his life, we will be eternally grateful for his belief in serving youth, retreat ministry, and the sharing of God’s love through natural beauty.

Nick was able to visit us most recently in 2019, getting to view the fruits of his labor and goodwill 40 years after his gifting of this beautiful land. His beloved children, grandchildren, and now great-grandchildren regularly participate in the life of our ministry. His descendants are some of our most ardent supporters. With hope in Christ’s Resurrection, we pray for Nick’s soul and his loved ones.

We aim to continue the mission Nick made possible and are honored to be a part of his legacy. The Kossaras family has generously requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Nick’s memory to St. Nicholas Ranch & Retreat Center.
