This morning's ride was pure magic. The fog rolled thick across the Dragon, and we finally understood where the Smoky Mountains got their legendary name. Every curve revealed another layer of mist, like riding straight through dragon's breath itself.

The 318 curves transformed into something mystical—visibility down, adrenaline up, and that ancient mountain magic wrapping around every twist. This is why riders come from everywhere to experience the Dragon. Not just the asphalt, but the soul of these mountains.

If you've never ridden through the Smokies in the fog, you're missing one of the most unforgettable experiences on two wheels. 🏍️

Today while exploring the Sweetwater area on the GS1250, we stumbled upon this incredible castle-like structure—the historic TMI Academy. Built in 1874 as Sweetwater Military College, this architectural gem has been standing strong for over 150 years. Talk about hidden history on the backroads!

This is what we love about motorcycle adventures in the Smoky Mountains—every twist and turn reveals something unexpected. Whether you're chasing curves or chasing stories, the Dragon always delivers.

Folks—there’s no good reason for an accident on The Dragon because of a bad pass. We’ve got plenty of pull-offs and safe places to wait.

If you’re riding slower and have faster vehicles behind you: please use a pull-off and let them by when you’re comfortable.

If you’re the faster rider: be patient. Don’t ride someone’s bumper, flash lights, honk, or act like a jackass—you’ll cause a wreck. If they won’t pull off, you pull off for a minute and give them space, then continue.

I’ve been riding The Dragon for 23 years and use pull-offs all the time—I’ve got nothing to prove. I’ll also move to the white line when it’s safe and there’s room, but if you’re passing, wait until the rider waves you by.

This is a public road for everyone to enjoy. Don’t cross the double yellow and risk a head-on. Ride smart. Ride safe.
