Join us on Saturday, July 4th at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park by the flags for the annual Tybee Island July 4th Bike Parade as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding.

This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as we are honored to welcome a Gold Star Family as our Grand Marshal. Their presence reminds us of the tremendous sacrifices made by America’s military families in defense of the freedoms we celebrate on Independence Day.

Gather your family, decorate your bikes in patriotic style, and join friends and neighbors for one of Tybee’s most beloved traditions. Whether you’re riding or cheering along the route, it’s the perfect way to celebrate our nation’s history and the spirit of our island community.

Tybee's Beach-Able community is adding sand walkers to their sand wheelchairs. These are distributed at the Parking Services building at the foot of the Tybee Pier on a first come, first served basis.

We're excited to announce we have ordered the newest addition to the Beach-Able Tybee family – our new all-terrain beach walkers!

These specialized mobility walkers are designed to help individuals who may not need a beach wheelchair but still need a little extra support navigating the sand. With oversized wheels designed for soft surfaces, a comfortable seat for resting, and increased stability on uneven terrain, these walkers make it easier than ever to enjoy Tybee Island's beautiful beaches.

For many people, walking through deep sand can be one of the biggest obstacles to enjoying a day at the beach. These new beach walkers help bridge that gap and provide another option for individuals who want to maintain their independence while spending time with family and friends on the shore.

At Beach-Able Tybee, our goal has always been simple: make the beach accessible to everyone. Adding these new walkers to our fleet allows us to serve even more residents and visitors with a wider range of mobility needs.

We can't wait to put these into service and see more people enjoying the sand, surf, and sunshine that make Tybee Island so special!
