To celebrate our 1-year anniversary, starting Friday (5/29) we will FINALLY be serving liquor.
This has been the single most asked for improvement at Watkins and we appreciate you bearing with us while we learned the ropes and put the pieces together to make this happen.
If I’m being perfectly honest, we still feel like amateurs in the restaurant business. Taking this step felt huge, but we finallly feel like we are as ready as we can be.
We will have a simple, specific menu of six or seven common drinks to start. Think Gin & Tonic, Jack & Coke, etc.
We promise to add more drink options very soon, we just want to start slow and get comfortable. We already have 4 or 5 more mixed drinks we plan to roll out in coming weeks, then after that we plan to have some fun with drink specials regularly.
At this time we will not have a full bar or a bartender, it’s simply not possible with our current layout (stupid/awesome giant window) and staffing.
Thank you so much for continuing to come in and support us and our staff. We promise to keep improving. Hooper is looking amazing and it’s finally porch weather (most days), so come on down.
