Only one overnight accommodation remains for our Fourth of July House Party, a once-in-a-lifetime celebration marking America’s 250th birthday in Little Washington.
Our newest retreat, The Cardinal’s Nest, is ideal for a family or two couples traveling together. This enchanting freestanding cottage features two spacious bedrooms, two luxurious baths with soaking tubs, a vaulted-ceiling living room with an ancient stone fireplace, a private garden, a butler’s kitchen, and a cedar hot tub.
The festivities begin on July 3rd. Following afternoon tea, the town will host an old-fashioned, all-American concert conducted by Colonel John Bourgeois, former Director of the United States Marine Band. Afterwards, guests will gather for a private poolside party featuring live music and classic American picnic fare. On the Fourth, horse-drawn carriages will carry guests through the town and gardens before an evening reception in our colonial ballroom — where George Washington once danced — followed by dinner in our Michelin-starred dining room and a private fireworks display over our new lake.
