We’ve recently added a dedicated real-time De-Feedback processing rack to our production inventory.
Built around ALPHA LABS's De-Feedback, this rack is designed for difficult live audio environments where traditional system tuning and EQ can only go so far — reverberant rooms, difficult microphone placement, wireless presenters moving too close to loudspeakers, and other challenging live production situations.
In early deployments, we’ve already seen it make a noticeable difference on graduations, arena events, town meetings, and livestream mixes. At Plymouth State University graduation ceremonies, we were able to achieve roughly 20 dB more usable gain within the signal chain on choir and podium microphones while also reducing the hollow, reverberant character of the room in the livestream mix.
It is not a replacement for proper system design, tuning, or microphone technique, but it gives us another tool to help keep speech clear and events running smoothly in difficult spaces.
