While the holiday weekend is underway, we just had to thank our guests and know how blessed we are by full houses all weekend. And while the holiday is a solemn one to remember our fallen military, it is also the unofficial kick off to summer. The weather's beautiful and guests are enjoying breakfasts on their private porches or our main porch, and last night the porch was full until dark, everyone enjoying the beautiful sunset. Tonight is our "Kick-Off to Summer BBQ Dinner" - let the summer begin!!!!

What could be better than evenings on a porch here in the pines. As the weather warms up here in the mountains, our porches are the place guests never want to leave. And our two rooms that also have private hot tubs (shown in the pic is Sycamore) are perfect year round. 4 of our rooms - Rosewood, Sycamore, Fernwood and Oakwood - have private porches. They are waiting for you.

We love being a stopover for those traveling Route 66. This fun-loving group from the United Kingdom enjoyed the weather, the porches, the food, the beer and of course the Grand Canyon during their time here before getting on the road again. What a way to see America than during the 100th birthday of The Mother Road. We may not be a typical Route 66 place to stay, but we are iconic in our own way - we treat you right.
