The students at North Star had a great week out in the Alaskan wilderness. We are so grateful for God's hand in each of the backpacking trips and for His protection.

👏A huge thank you to Nate Healy, who taught our first-year students "Doctrine of Scripture" with grace and deep knowledge. Thank you also to Ben and Bethany Fischer from Victory Bible Camp for taking the week to teach our second-year students, in the Navigator program, vital skills for "Intro to Outdoor Leadership & Ministry." We are greatly blessed by your dedication to teaching our students invaluable information and skills over the second week of our school year! 🙌

Packs and vans loaded. Pray for our students and staff as they head out on a week-long backpacking trip. 50 people, four different locations, and many miles to cover. Pray for the students' safety, that they would learn more about God and his beauty, and that they would form deep friendships in their groups. .

This past weekend, the students packed their bags and went to test their camping gear before the school's big backpacking trip next week! They got familiar with setting up their tents, using their sleeping mats, and making sure they had enough warm gear. They were blessed with a beautiful evening along the river to cook over the fire and fellowship.

🎉THANK YOU to our first week instructors and chapel speaker! Jordan Thomas brought the Word to our first year students and started the year off strong in the "Christ in All of Scripture" course. And, Emily Anzilotti provided our second year students with crucial skills in the "Wilderness First Aid" course. We were also greatly blessed by the chapel message shared by Mike Dreiske. Thank you all for teaching our students invaluable, solid information and kicking off the school year strong! 👏
