Extremely grateful here in Cooktown for no damage, no harm from Cyclone Narelle who passed near us a cpl of hours ago just north of Coen, hoping the worst was in the less populated area.

Cooktown was just a bit of wind and rain, thankfully.
No loss of power or phone coverage.
Just a few branches and no major damage to our community .

Very grateful for all the thoughts and messages we received .

My thoughts and prayers to those in and around Coen area.

The anticipation of one of the biggest weekends for Cooktown is on the starting blocks!!🎣🎣
The rattle of tacklboxes could be heard for miles as they get sifted through at the last minute to make sure nothing gets left behind to get a chance a winning one of the 2 boats up for grabs.. 🚤there are boxes of other prizes that get thrown about too, literally 😂
Bet kids could hardly sleep last night — camping weekend is finally here!
Tents and swags packed..and the excitement levels through the roof.
Nothing beats time with the ‘ fishing family’ .
it’s all about connection, laughter, and making memories together 💫
Sundays weigh in sees yarns getting longer, and the fish are getting bigger with every retelling…and a fair bit of friendly banter, a few tall tales, after a few ‘dehydrated ‘ fisher ppl get a chance to ‘hydrate up’🍻…
