A short week folks and don't they fly? We were reflecting on what a great weekend last weekend was and how many positive messages we've had -especially from newcomers to Gordon Country. We're so grateful to receive those messages and to know that we're still 'Getaways-R-Us'!🙏😃🥰
When you think of it camping is special in so many ways. A space in nature to spend with family and friends - minus the noise of daily life and reminding us of the simple joys of companionship, conversation and camaraderie. 🤗
Not to mention the inspiration that a crackling fire and a breath-taking sky filled with sparkling stars can bring.🌌🔥🌳
'Keep calm and camp on'.. sounds like a positive move these days! Not to mention the absolute bliss of being 'tech free' for a few days!👍

Welcome to Wednesday and our mid week marker folks! 🤗
Happy to report we had a nice drop yesterday as did a lot of SE Qld. It's been awhile for the whole areas so a top up for creeks, rivers and dams before Spring disappears and Summer arrives.
Here's just a few pics of our long weekend activities focused around our Rivergums Barn area with high volume bull riding & an evening of footy finals fever! 🐮🏈😁
Very family focused with the kids also enjoying 'their thing' - face painting, petting zoo and the always popular jumping castle..
But they also found time to do what we do best at Gordon Country - enjoy what nature provides and the fun of exploring it. 🌳🐸🦎🐄🐴🌼
We think they'll probably be talking about their weekend till Christmas comes marching in

What a big weekend at Gordon Country and a big thank you to all our guests for the great overall vibe and for the respect and consideration shown to our property. 🙏👏
There was plenty of participation and enjoyment of events as well as plenty of peeps just relaxing and enjoying a long weekend in nature with family and friends.🤗🌳
⭐Food trucks were fantastic and kept super busy all weekend serving up delicious food and treats - many thanks to those vendors who really did work hard!🍕🍔🍟🍦
SO good this morning to look out into the paddocks and see some rain actually falling!! The dust will settle, grass will sprout again and the creek will be running at its best again and what great timing - it waited till the long weekend was done and dusted (pun intended)...🌧🌧😁

Enjoying a sleep-in on Sunday? Well we hope lots of our guests are getting in a long snooze before a busy day here relaxing and having fun!😁
Just a nod to all the sports fans out there waiting to enjoy the culmination of the NRLW and the NRL seasons with the 2 big finals on today at Accor Stadium.
Booked out so big crowds!🏈🏈😉
The NRLW match a repeat of the 2025 final - Broncos & Roosters playing for the premiership honors and being Queenslanders, naturally we hope it'll be the same result again with the Broncos winning.🏆🥇🎊
And pretty exciting and a long time coming in the NRL for the Newcastle Knights (last premiership 25 years ago) - up against the Roosters and it's quite awhile since they've been in a Grand Final as well (7 years).
Here's hoping they're both great matches and wishing good luck to all the teams..

So many beautiful animals on our property and it always brings a smile to everyone no matter what age, to see how they move around in their natural habitat almost oblivious to the rest of the world! 🥰

That story of trails, tales and friends for life is a classic bush story and thankfully, it's still so true and always on offer at Gordon Country!
Amongst our many blessings we count the experiences and memories that our guests share with us to be right up there.! 🤗
It's really something to be able to offer a place where peace is found, freedom is the daily vibe, fun is always on the menu and great connections are just around the bend.
