Did you know Mel & Susie have been part of our Opal Holiday Park family for **11 years** and are here for the whole season, performing **daily from 4.30pm in the Park Pavilion**! 🎶❤️

Mel & Susie also own their very own camp here in Lightning Ridge, built by local artist **John Murray**, and they offer our guests a wonderful **Morning Tea Tag-Along Tour**.

Yesterday, we had a group of guests with Susie getting ready to head off and enjoy morning tea. ☕️🥐 What a fantastic way to experience a little more of what makes Lightning Ridge so special!

💎 **The countdown is over... the 2026 Lightning Ridge Opal Festival starts tomorrow!** 💎

We are officially **FULLY BOOKED** here at Opal Holiday Park, and we can't wait to welcome everyone visiting Lightning Ridge for one of the biggest events of the year!

✨ **Another must-see when you're visiting Lightning Ridge!** ✨

Dave and I visited the **Opal Miners Hall of Fame** today, and all we can say is... **wow!** We thought it was absolutely amazing and highly recommend adding it to your itinerary.

💎 Discover how opals were formed millions of years ago
🦖 Wander through fascinating prehistoric dinosaur displays
⛏️ Listen to the stories of real opal miners
🔍 Try your luck in the fossicking area

One of the things we loved most was that it's all built inside converted shipping containers, making it a truly unique experience.

If you're planning a trip to Lightning Ridge, don't miss this incredible attraction. It's informative, interactive, and suitable for all ages.

☕🍓 Morning Tea with Mel & Susie 🍓☕

Not only do Mel & Susie entertain our guests daily at 4:30pm in the pavilion with their wonderful bush poetry and comedy, they also offer delightful morning tea tours at their unique camp, built by renowned Lightning Ridge artist John Murray.

We recently enjoyed a beautiful Devonshire Tea complete with the most amazing homemade scones. They were so delicious that we completely forgot to take photos before they disappeared! 😂

If you’re visiting Lightning Ridge, this is a fantastic local experience not to be missed. Be sure to ask our friendly reception team for more information during your stay.
