Live north of the Yarra river between Millgrove and Warburton ? These are some of the earlier landowners and they were big blocks before subdivisions. There were quite a few properties above where the aqueduct is now with most being resumed by the government.

Seventy odd years ago parking was at a premium in main st Warburton too.

Up the road from Warburton just past the town of Reefton was the Reefton Experimental Area. You could get a good view of the area from Armstrong Valley view. The experiment was started in the early 60s and investigated what effects standard forestry practices had on the quality of the water and how water yield was affected. Since I took these photos in 1989 the area has been effected by bushfires several times. Can't remember if these images were from Vantage Point A or VPB but I'm sure there is somebody out there who knows.
