Day 536 - sorry not enough service to upload videos from throughout the morning so very quickly - have had lunch at the Elimbah Servo with deepest thanks to Wishal (sorry if wrong/mispelled,mate!!)

The motel was full of Ford Mustangs last night. Touring around the Sunshine Coast. The few other guests were loving watching them drive in and out.

Casual kitchen hand position available 15 - 20 hrs per week, Monday to Saturday. Approximately 2-4 hrs per night. Great opportunity for a student or someone looking to pick up a few extra hours to increase their income.

POSITION AVAILABLE FOR CHEF/COOK!

This is an opportunity for the right person to join our team. Hours are casual hours, which will vary and the successful applicant can work out preferred hours with current cook. From 9 hours upwards. Please note that throughout the year we do have functions & tour buses with up to 65 diners that require both breakfast & meals up to 6 nights a week. It would suit a chef/cook, maybe going to Uni or looking for some extra hours. Restaurant is open from 6pm Monday to Saturday. Can be an easy night or under the pump. We do not know until the day. All prep is done, shifts start from 5 - 5.30 pm & kitchen is generally closed by 7.30 pm.

REQUIREMENTS:

Have an obvious passion for food

A well-experienced and relaxed personality, especially in the heat of service

Strong work ethic & commitment to perform outstanding meals every shift

Able to work autonomously and also lead, motivate

Strong understanding of costings, stock, budget control & wastage

Full knowledge & commitment to food safety and WHS PRACTICES

Willingness to work Friday & Saturday nights (happy to alternate)

Excellent communication skills & positive attitude

Must be willing to adapt to the ebb & flow of the kitchen at any given time while maintaining composure

Unfortunately our chef is extremely unwell and we have been unable to find a relief chef to fill her position on such short notice.
Due to these unforeseen circumstances the restaurant will remain closed until further notice for the health and safety of all guests and staff.
