Ever since our partnership with No Person Left Behind Outdoors began, we've been reflecting more and more on those that sign up to serve. Those that didn't make it home, those that did, and those who returned home wounded. That is why we are so excited and honoured to offer this program.

Sponsor a Disabled Veteran to come to Snowwater

Here is how it works:

A guest (or a group) may choose to sponsor a veteran’s trip. All sponsorship funds are paid directly to NPLB, and NPLB will issue the sponsor a charitable tax receipt. The sponsor covers the veteran’s trip cost, while Snowwater proudly covers the veteran’s incidental expenses during their stay at the lodge.

Sponsors are welcome to either ski alongside the veteran as part of the experience or simply sponsor the trip itself. In either case, both the sponsor’s trip cost and the veteran’s trip cost are paid directly to NPLB and processed through the charitable program for tax receipt purposes.

It's the beginning of the May Long Weekend here in BC so naturally the temps have dropped and we got a dusting of snow. When we put on that extra layer our minds drift off into thoughts of next Winter.

As Memorial Day approaches, we pause with deep gratitude for the men and women who have served and sacrificed so much in defense of freedom.

At Snowwater Heliskiing, we are incredibly proud to begin our ongoing partnership with No Person Left Behind (NPLB) — an organization dedicated to creating life changing outdoor experiences for disabled veterans.

This is an opportunity to sponsor a disabled veteran to experience the freedom of the mountains with us at Snowwater. We have our first three veterans sponsored for this coming season and would love to have a few more join us.

The mountains have a unique way of healing, reconnecting, and reminding us what it means to truly feel alive. Through this partnership, we hope to provide unforgettable experiences, meaningful connection, and a small way of giving back to those who have already given so much.

Freedom is never free.

Today, and every day, we honour the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of veterans around the world.

Earth Day Everyday 🌎❤️

At Snowwater, we are always striving to innovate in ways that help to offset our environmental impact. For the past 39 years we have collected millions of seedlings which become the forests of the future. Our guests enjoy organically grown produce from our ever expanding garden and we are constantly looking for ways to reduce our footprint to help preserve the very nature that we love, work and play in.

Once you experience nature in a deep, meaningful way, you feel compelled to preserve it. That's why we are so passionate about showcasing the beauty of nature to our guests and promoting the need for stewardship of the Earth.
