We are delighted to participate in a restoration project! Animals (and guests!) will benefit from the native plants:
🍂Red-osier dogwood will brighten up fall and winter with its beautiful red bark.
🌱Pacific Nine Bark will enhance our area with white pollinator-friendly flowers.
🌸Pacific Crabapple will provide not only beautiful flowers but fruit for the birds!
And they are all great for the health of the lake!
Huge thank you to Kathy, Tristan and Ryan from the Island Stream & Salmon Enhancement Society for this project! They used the Pacific Stream Keepers method of riparian planting. The new plants will need to be in fenced pods for the first year to protect them from deer.
