Meanwhile at the lodge...

We spent the day planting flowers around the lodge.

The sun was out. The lake was calm. The view wasn't bad either.

After a long day of digging, planting, watering, and making everything look just a little more welcoming, we're happy to report the planters are finally done.

Unfortunately, the mosquitoes were also admiring our work.

And us.

Mostly us.

Some sunsets quietly fade away.

This one had other plans.

The evening started beautifully enough, calm water, soft light, the kind of sky that makes you linger outside a little longer than planned.

And then, just when we thought the show was over, the whole sky turned red.

Not just a little colour. One of those deep, impossible northern skies that stops conversations and makes you stand there for a minute wondering how this place still surprises you.

These are the moments people remember.

The quiet after dinner. One last drink on the dock. Watching the light change over the lake. The kind of evenings that somehow feel simple and unforgettable at the same time.

If that sounds like the kind of summer you’ve been craving, we still have a little space left this season at Temagami Lodge:

June 27th - July 4th: a cozy one-bedroom cottage, perfect for a couple looking for quiet mornings, sunset views, and time to slow down. Come a day early at no extra charge.

July 18th - 25th: Both a one-bedroom cottage as well as a two-bedroom cottage available.

August 29th - September 5th: a two-bedroom lakeside cottage, ideal for squeezing in one last northern escape before summer slips away.

We’re small. Just four quiet lakeside cottages. No crowds. Just sunsets, bonfires, lake days, and the kind of peace that’s getting harder to find.

Updated 2026 availability below...

The season is slowly waking up at the lodge.

After four days back, the ice has finally loosened its grip enough for us to splash the boat and start the annual migration of supplies to the island. Groceries, tools, linens, cleaning gear, mystery bins packed weeks ago that seemed like a good idea at the time… all of it packed into one very full boat.

Spring in Temagami doesn’t exactly roll out a welcome mat. Single digit temperatures, high water, cold hands, and plenty of layers. But this in-between season has its own kind of magic. Quiet shorelines, crisp air, and a lake slowly stretching awake after a long winter.

It’s peaceful, a little messy, and beautifully real. No crowds. No rush. Just nature doing its thing on northern Ontario time.

The countdown to summer is officially on. We’ll be ready. Probably.

Two spots lefts this Summer...
June 26th - July 4th. Canada Day week. Get 8 nights for the price of 7. One bedroom cottage. Perfect for a couple. $1350. Right on the waters edge.

August 29th - September 5th. Late Summer vibes in our largest two-bedroom. $1550

We’re back at the lodge… and the lake is still holding onto winter.

Not exactly the picture-perfect spring arrival, but around here, seasons don’t follow a schedule—they do whatever they want. And this year, that means a little ice still in the mix.

Waiting it out would be the sensible move. Instead, we went with an airboat and, naturally, sent it.

There’s something special about this in-between time though. Quiet mornings, crisp air, and a landscape that hasn’t quite decided what season it wants to be yet. It’s not polished, it’s not predictable—but it’s real Temagami.

Spring will show up when it’s good and ready. Until then, we’re here, getting things going and enjoying the calm before the summer buzz.

Well this is rare...
Two cottages. Side by side. Shared dock. Shared deck. Separate porches. Perfectly arranged for families or friends who want to be together but not too together. Eight people can spread out, stretch out, maybe even nap somewhere new every day.

June 27th - July 4th. Canada Day Week. $2850
August 29th - September 5th. $2750
(Price is for both plus HST)

Picture mornings on the covered porch with coffee in hand and mist rising off the lake. Afternoons slipping into the water without climbing over rocks, kayaks gliding past loons, the smell of a Napoleon BBQ teasing your senses. Evenings by the fire pit, marshmallows melting, stories stretching long as the sun sinks behind the trees older than anyone you know.

You’ll find yourself in games, on floaties, walking trails where WiFi fades but laughter doesn’t. And when the day winds down, every seat on the dock is yours. Muskoka loungers, deck chairs, the best sunset in the country without anyone fighting for a spot.

It’s rare to have both of these cottages available two different weeks, two perfect windows to unplug, unwind, and make a little space for life as it should be.

Also available as individual cottages. Just drop us a message.

Legends have a funny way of coming back. Take Temagami Dry, the ginger ale that ruled The North, disappeared into myth, and left a trail of longing in its wake. It’s coming back. And it’s better than ever.

No sugar Temagami Dry. Temagami Cream Soda. All brewed in The North where the lakes are endless, the forests are deep, and apparently reality shows like Extracted think we’re wild enough for TV. Last night proved it: Temagami can survive anything, even cameras in the woods.

A little history for the curious: Temagami Dry was once a local obsession, a fizzy statement that if you’re going to drink soda, do it with pride, ice cold, and way up north. It faded… but legends don’t die. They just wait for the perfect comeback.

And if you’re going to enjoy it, you may as well do it at Temagami Lodge. Porch. Sunset. Lake stretching farther than your eyes can follow. Ice cold Temagami Dry in hand. The North doing its thing, making everything feel legendary.

Come for the soda. Stay for the view. Temagami Dry: history returned, north perfected, taste buds officially warned.

There’s a show called Extracted on FOX. Season one has already aired, and season two drops January 26. This one was filmed right here in Temagami.

Based on the previews, you’d think we live at the absolute edge of civilization. Possibly beyond it. No roads. No comfort. Just wilderness, tension, and dramatic camera angles.

To be fair, the wilderness part checks out.

What the show doesn’t show is that Temagami is also calm, beautiful, and wildly accessible if you know what you’re doing. The kind of place where mornings are quiet, the lake is glassy, and the biggest challenge of the day is deciding whether to paddle, fish, or do absolutely nothing.

So if season two makes you curious, consider this your reminder that you don’t have to survive Temagami. You can just come enjoy it.

No cameras. No pressure. Just the real thing.

Temagami Lodge
The edge of the world. With better vibes.

Summer feels fake right now. Snowbanks, parkas, and that special kind of cold that makes you question past life choices. Fair.

But while winter is busy doing its whole dramatic thing, summer is quietly getting booked.

If you’re hoping to lock in a week at the lodge for summer 2026, now is the moment to act like a person with foresight and good instincts. We still have a handful of prime weeks available. The kind with long lake days, late fires, cold drinks, and zero emails that actually matter.

These weeks do not linger. They disappear while everyone else is saying “it’s too early.”

It’s not too early.
It’s strategic.

Winter has made itself right at home on Temagami. Snow’s piling up like it pays rent, the lake has gone full “do not disturb,” and our resident fox is out there strutting around like he finally inherited the island. The place has slipped into that early-winter quiet that somehow feels both peaceful and a little self satisfied.

Summer might seem a lifetime away, but this is actually the moment to start dreaming ahead. Our 2026 season is almost fully booked, with fewer than ten spots left. If a week on the island is calling your name, now’s the time to reach out before that fox decides he’s taking over the whole calendar.

Here's what's left for 2026.
June 13th - 20th - One & Two Bedroom Cottage
June 27th - July 4th (Canada Day Week) - One & Two Bedroom Cottage
July 11th - 18th - One Bedroom Cottage
August 22nd - 29th - Two Bedroom Cottage
August 29th - September 5th - One & Two Bedroom Cottage

The last kayak’s been dragged in, the screen doors finally get a break, and the lodge has gone from full symphony to solo acoustic. We’d never say it too loudly, but the hush after everyone leaves hits a little harder than we pretend. The laughter, the dock chaos, the midnight jumps in the lake...we miss the whole circus more than we let on.

Now the lake is quiet and smug about it, flat as glass in the mornings like it’s showing off. The nights are dropping in temperature and enthusiasm, and the stars are back to being the loudest things around here. Our resident fox has resumed his self satisfied little patrols, trotting around like people finally stopped getting in his way.

We’re soaking in the calm, pretending we don’t secretly love the chaos you all bring. 2026 is already on our mind, when footsteps return to the main dock, fires crackle past bedtime, and someone inevitably forgets a sandal, a towel, or a child.

Until then, we’ll keep the lake company and let the fox think he’s in charge.
