Rejuvenation 2026: Renew, Restore, Refresh , Revive

Thank you to everyone who stopped in over the duration of the Rejuvenation Sale and showed support for the mOOse. It was a win-win scenario. Lots of great traffic for me and fabulous deals for you.

The sale started out with a unique word “Rejuvenation”. Many asked just what it meant. At the get go, I didn’t really know, but I knew I needed a change. I wasn’t really sure where it would lead so I just forged ahead putting things out to the universe. We had 3 rounds of the sale and a fabulous turnout for each bout.

First round seemed like it was an effort to reduce stock and make new space. Round Two felt like an effort to rejuvenate cash flow and I was blown away at the traffic that passed through the doors. But the Final Round really brought things into focus. So many amazing customers expressed their love for the shop and all it had to offer. They didn’t want to see it disappear and were willing to support it however it went forward. I wasn’t prepared to go back to full time hours. I enjoy the interaction but just don’t have the energy at this point to go full on. After many discussions and explanations of where things were at people started to say “Why don’t you just continue doing what you have been doing during the Rejuvenation Sale? Open randomly and invite people to come and shop.” Well now, that started to sound like a great idea. I would still have time for personal endeavours but also would have something to keep me busy.

1) Stock has been reduced – lots of room for new product
2) Cash flow has been replenished – some funds to purchase new product, and
3) My soul has been rejuvenated and I can move at a bit of a slower pace.

All and all a very successful venture.

I have now taken control of the property. At this point, I am planning to keep property off the market until the bridge construction is completed or possibly longer. Both the Skootamatta and Black River Bridges along Highway 7 are slated for replacement which will commence with rock blasting in December 2026. The bridge construction will be starting the following spring. I am told the Skootamatta Bridge will take 1 year to complete and the Black River Bridge will take 2 years. This will undoubtedly cause delays along this route. Hopefully we will still have a good flow of customers during “open” weekends.

I recently attended the Toronto Gift Shows and have undertaken some purchasing for the upcoming fall/hunting/holiday season. My plan is to open this Thanksgiving weekend, November hunting weekends and selected dates throughout December to accommodate holiday shopping. I am planning to be in the shop September 1st to open some of the current orders so may decide to open September long weekend and will post accordingly.

Most people did express a strong interest in more hoody’s. As such, I have placed an order that is expected to arrive late September so hoping to have available Thanksgiving weekend. See proof attached that shows design and colour options. Please pm me if you would like me to set aside certain colours/sizes.

Thank you again for your ongoing support. I would welcome any ideas/thoughts on products you would like me to consider. I will post some product pictures as they arrive.

MISSING KAYAKS - ACTINOLITE. So I didn't realize we were once again hit by the recent storm that tore through the Actinolite area on July 1st. I went to cut trial yesterday and there were many fallen pines. We also lost two kayaks that must have blown into the river. Both kayaks are sit on top. One is a Typhoon red/yellow mix and the other is a two seater sit on top Mayfly and is solid red. They blew into the Skootamatta River just north of Highway 7 so imagine they would have been spotted in Actinolite. Please let me know if you have seen them. Many thanks.

Hmmm wonder what the heck a Rejuvenation Sale is??
