A new way to spend an evening beneath the northern sky. ✨💚

We’re excited to introduce the Northern Lights Lounge at Kaunispään Huippu - Panorama Restaurant, Saariselkä , available for guests staying at Wilderness Hotel Kieppi, Wilderness Hotel Saariselkä, and Wilderness Hotel Muotka.

Kaunispään Huippu is a restaurant at the summit of Kaunispää Fell, overlooking Saariselkä and the surrounding Arctic wilderness. After dark, it becomes a warm lounge where you can spend the evening watching the northern sky.

Settle in by the fire with a hot drink and a small local snack, both included in your visit. Step outside to enjoy the open views from the summit, and if the Northern Lights appear, watch them move across the sky before returning to the warmth inside. 🤍

A host will be on hand throughout the evening, and the bar offers additional drinks and evening bites to purchase.

📆 Wednesday and Saturday evenings during the winter season, from 6th November 2026 until 10th April 2027.

This could be your December. ❄️🤍

A reindeer sleigh ride beneath a pastel sky. Huskies leading you through a snow-covered forest, with cold cheeks and a smile you can’t quite hide. Then back to a warm cabin as the long Arctic evening settles in.

December in Lapland has a rhythm of its own. During the polar night, daylight comes as soft twilight, leaving time for winter adventures before the stars appear. And on a clear night, if the auroras arrive, you could be standing beneath a sky like this. ✨

Today, we’re taking you to Wilderness Hotel Juutua, where riverside mornings, Northern flavours, and Arctic adventures await. 🤎

Set beside the Juutua River in the village of Inari, settle into your room and enjoy a slower start to the day. Head out into the snowy wilderness with a guide, discover local Sámi culture, or spend time exploring Inari at your own pace.

In the evening, take your seat at Restaurant Aanaar, where local ingredients and the seasons of Lapland inspire the menu. Enjoy dinner overlooking the river, with time to savour each course and share stories from the day.

When darkness falls, an evening outdoors could bring a glimpse of the Northern Lights, if the skies are clear and conditions are right. ✨
