Hendre Mynach is a family and couples friendly camp site for touring caravans and tents. We are just 100 metres from Barmouth Beach in North West Wales, on the new 'Wales Coast Path' and cycle route 8. A main train line from the Midlands runs through to Barmouth on a regular basis. The A496 road serves Hendre Mynach Caravan Park, and pedestrians can walk from our site directly onto Barmouth Promenade. Barmouth is a dog-friendly town and the beach has a large dog excercise zone. Many of the establishments in town allow dogs, which makes for a more relaxed holiday for canines and their companions. The stunning hills around Barmouth offer breathtaking views; a photographer's paradise. There are plenty of walks to enjoy, from the gentle, level strolls along the promenade and all the way to Dolgellau on the old railway line, to more challenging climbs including the famous Cadair Idris, and many lesser trodden trails amongst wooded glades and sandy beaches. Barmouth is a great base for many activities in North West Wales.

🎉 Exciting upgrades are coming to Hendre Mynach! 🎉

We’re pleased to announce that our Northside toilet block is getting a much-needed upgrade! 🛠️

Work is due to start on Monday 26th October, with the improvements expected to be completed by Easter. We’re looking forward to making these facilities even better for our guests!

A few things to be aware of while the work is underway:
🚿 The Southside toilet block will still remain open.
🚻 Temporary toilet facilities will soon be arriving on Northside.
🧺 Our on-site laundrette will be unavailable during this time, but Barmouth Laundrette in the town centre is available as an alternative.

We apologise for any inconvenience while the improvements take place, and thank you for your patience and understanding.

We can’t wait to share the finished results with you! ✨

✨ ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE ✨

We want to make our customers aware that King Edward Street will be completely closed from the 𝟏𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 to the 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫. There will not be any vehicular access into or out of Barmouth, heading towards or from Harlech and Barmouth. Our campsite will remain open, but we are only accepting bookings from customers who are aware that they can drive to the site from Harlech. Access to Barmouth will only be by foot or by arranging a taxi to collect from North end promenade.

We are fortunate with our location, we are only a short 20-minute walk into Barmouth along the promenade.
