Bank Holiday Weekend Full of Golf at Cottrell Resort! ⛳️

What a fantastic bank holiday weekend on the fairways!

🏆 Sunday 30th August – Captain vs. Vice Captain Competition

Our annual 36-hole challenge across both courses saw Captain Martin Andrews' team go head-to-head with Vice Captain Andrew Wigley-Jones' team. After a hard-fought day of golf, Team Vice Captain claimed the victory! Congratulations to Andrew and his winning squad.

🏌️‍♀️ Monday 31st August – Ladies & Seniors Texas Scramble

We wrapped up the weekend on the Mackintosh Course with a vibrant Texas Scramble event featuring teams of two ladies and two seniors. Great weather, wonderful camaraderie, and brilliant shots made for a memorable day out.

What a fantastic day yesterday for our Ladies Section as they welcomed friends to Cottrell Resort for the 2026 Ladies Members & Guests Day! ⛳️💕

The Mackintosh Course provided the perfect setting for a brilliant day of golf, with a fantastic turnout and plenty of smiles, laughter and friendly competition along the way.

Of course, no Ladies Day would be complete without a visit to the Halfway Houses! Our ladies put on an incredible homemade spread of delicious cakes and sandwiches to keep everyone going. 🍰🥪

A huge thank you to everyone who played, baked, helped out and supported the day. We hope all of our guests enjoyed their time with us and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

With up to 96% of the Sun set to be obscured across parts of the UK, this will be our most dramatic partial solar eclipse in over 25 years—and the next one like this won't happen again until 2081!
