Member focus Heart of Hadrian's Wall featuring our Hideaway Huts 😊

We'd like to introduce some of the brilliant businesses that make the Heart of Hadrian's Wall such a special place to visit.
First up: Hideaway Huts at Stanegate Hideaways ✨
Tucked away in a quiet paddock with sweeping views across the South Tyne Valley, The Bothy, The Shieling and The Wainscot are three beautifully designed Grande Roulottes, each made just for two.
Think quirky and romantic, but also practical and peaceful: cosy wood-burner-effect stoves, king-size beds, verandas made for morning coffee and superfast Wi-Fi if you need it (though you may not want it!).
📍 The location is hard to beat. Wonderful Vindolanda is less than a mile away and some of the most spectacular stretches of Hadrian's Wall are just three miles up the road. With Northumberland National Park to the north and the North Pennines National Landscape to the south, there's always somewhere new to explore.
🌌 After dark, the show really begins. Northumberland's Dark Skies put on a spectacular display here and guests have spotted the Milky Way and even the Andromeda Galaxy from their doorstep.
🦌 By day, keep an eye out for deer, owls, woodpeckers and more.
🚲 Green credentials to be proud of. Hideaway Huts is Green Tourism accredited and Dark Sky Friendly, with EV charging, e-bikes, secure cycle storage, a boot room and drying facilities. It's also easy to reach car-free, with Bardon Mill station and the 685 bus close by, and it sits right by the C2C cycle route.
This lovely spot is perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries, or simply escaping it all, with Roman history on the doorstep. As one guest put it: 'Our little piece of heaven on earth.' 💚
