Today’s team ending 2025 looking fabulous!
We wish you all the very best for the year ahead ✨

Closing out this year, we wanted to personally thank you all for the messages of love and support, particularly these past few weeks. We have been overwhelmed by your kindness, from you our customers, industry peers, friends and Champany family, past and present.

From the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful and have taken immense comfort from your words and memories shared.

📝 We will hold a public memorial service, to celebrate mum/ Mrs D’s life, at 12pm on Monday 16th February 2026 at St Michael’s Parish Church in Linlithgow.

🥂As we plan new menus, wine dinners and exciting updates for next year, our family look forward to welcoming you back to Champany in 2026.

With the greatest sadness we share the news that Anne Davidson passed away peacefully at home yesterday.

Affectionally known as “Mrs D”, she was the matriarch of our Champany family, and will be terribly missed.

The Davidsons arrived at Champany in 1983. For nearly 50 years Anne was a woman at the forefront of Scottish hospitality, dedicating her life to delivering the very best restaurant experience, of which we will continue.

Champany was her world, and those that worked alongside her, as well as suppliers and her customers - you brought her so much joy and purpose.

She will always be remembered as a devoted, energetic and kind host who was an inspiration to many who knew her.

Mrs D, we thank you for everything.

The family will hold a private funeral. A memorial service will be arranged early next year to celebrate her life. Full details will be published.

We are delighted to welcome Sebastian Beaumont from to host a wine dinner on Wednesday 29th October 2025.

This is his first visit to Champany and it promises to be a memorable evening, presenting his Chenin Blancs, Mourvèdre and his Cape Vintage (Port), alongside a Champany-matched three-course menu.

A special treat awaits: Sebastian will present two vintages of Hope Marguerite allowing the opportunity to compare and contrast between different years.

Join us at 7pm in the cocktail bar for a glass of Beaumont Chenin Blanc before moving through to the Restaurant for dinner.

Beaumont is a family owned and managed wine farm situated in the heart of the town of Bot River (“Botter Rivier”) in the Overberg.

The farm, home to the region’s oldest wine cellar, was originally established in the 1700s by the Dutch East India Company as a supply farm producing fruit, vegetables, dairy, wine and flour.

Jayne and Raoul Beaumont bought the property in 1974. Their son, Sebastian and his wife, Nici took over the running of the farm in 2015 and in this time have left their own indelible mark on it, modernising both the brand and the business.

Last week we welcomed Tyrrel Myburgh from to Champany, where we hosted an intimate wine tasting and a Scottish/South African inspired dinner.

Guests enjoyed gravlax of smoked salmon followed by bobotie and char-grilled lamb chops and Melktert (milk tart) for dessert. Tyrrel paired each dish perfectly with his Joostenberg wines - the Klippe Kou Syrah was an absolute standout with the lamb.
