Just how old is St Michael's Manor Hotel? Older than most people realise.

Today, Roberto takes us even further back in time. Evidence suggests there was a house on this site before 1530, with parts of the building believed to sit on medieval foundations dating back to the 11th century.

Down in our cellar, you can still see sections of the original flooring and pathways, quiet reminders of the many generations who walked here long before us...

It's one of the very first things guests see as they arrive, setting the tone for everything that follows. Rich in history and beautifully preserved, these stairs lead to the first and second floors of the original manor house, where 22 of our bedrooms are still found today.
