We are set to reopen our doors in 2026 after a vast transformation. Featuring 357 stylish rooms, adaptable public spaces, and a breathtaking rooftop bar and restaurant offering panoramic views of London.

We’re preserving our historic charm by carefully maintaining iconic features like the bold Brutalist exterior and intricate geometric windows. Inside, our interiors will blend renowned 1960s design features with a contemporary palette, ensuring a timeless experience for our guests. When we reopen, we will be the flagship property of Imperial London Hotels.

The vision is to revive our iconic status, making it a beloved destination for generations to come.

Although our Imperial Hotel remains closed for refurbishment, our Royal National Hotel and City Sleeper rooms remain open, and our Bedford Hotel is due to re-open on the 5th September.

Both hotels are also located in Russell Square - just a two minute walk from the Imperial Hotel!

We thank you for your patience and understanding during this period of global concern and continue to follow government advice concerning COVID-19. For the safety and protection of our guests and employees, which is our utmost priority, our hotels will remain closed.

We look forward to welcoming you back as soon as possible for a safe, comfortable stay with us. We hope to re-open our hotels again from the 1st August and we are currently taking bookings for 1st August and beyond via our website.

We will continue to monitor the situation and follow government advice and if we can reopen sooner, we will of course be in touch!
