Just to confirm, as predicted, our first fireworks night of the 2026 season - Saturday 3rd October - is now s o l d - o u t. Please note we will *not* be selling tickets at the gate.

We say it every year but please be aware that all of our fireworks nights will reach capacity well in advance. Our best advice is to book asap at www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/Illuminations

The summer holidays are now upon us and we are seeing all the families visiting.
This leads straight into the Matlock Bath Illuminations and we are filling up fast. September weekends are all taken now but we still have some weekends left in October for the fireworks. So get booking before it’s too late.

ONLY *8 WEEKS* to go before Matlock Bath's night-time streets are filled with visitors on their way to the Illuminations 🤩 Have you booked your tickets yet?

A reminder that visitors to our Preview Night on 12th September will be the first to enjoy this year's decorated boats on the river - and all adult tickets for opening night are discounted to a fiver. It's just £1 for accompanied under 16s (and that's the case throughout the 2026 season).

Do you have K-Pop fans in the family? Preview Night also feature a 'K-Pop Party Experience'! Expect Big K-Pop routines, bold characters and loads of energy. It's a lively, pop concert-style show with plenty to get involved in.

Plus we will have the kiddies' funfair and all the usual stalls and circus skills entertainment, including the return of the fabulous Paris Bubbles Entertainment!

After 12th September, the Illuminations then run every weekend from the following Saturday (19th September) through to Sunday 1st November, plus Friday 30th October. We have fireworks finales every Saturday in October plus Sunday 1st November.

Beautiful Lagonda 1934 visited Matlock Bath today.

Matlock Bath parking 😀Matlock Bath is a beautiful village in Derbyshire with 750 residents.

In the village we have 829 car parking spaces

Station Car park, Pavilion,Temple Walk, Artists Corner and Masson Mill. Additional to this Cromford Mills has 385 spaces.

Additional to this on street parking on North and South parade limited to an hour.

We also have an hourly train service and at least 4 different bus services hourly through the village.

To be honest this is a exceptional Derbyshire Village that welcomes everyone and I am not aware of anywhere else in Derbyshire that copes with the amount of visitors as well as we do.
