🚨🏆🌸 STOP PRESS… YOU COULDN’T MAKE THIS UP! 😂🌸🏆
We posted this morning thanking our wonderful Adrian from Trevail Farm Nursery for another incredible summer of flowers…

AND LOOK WHAT’S JUST LANDED IN OUR INBOX! 📩🎉

🥇 THE GRIFFIN HAS WON FIRST PRIZE! 🥇

We’ve officially won Business First Prize in the Newquay in Bloom Gardens Competition 2026 for our beautiful hanging baskets! 🌺🏆

Talk about perfect timing! 😂

A HUGE congratulations to Adrian, whose hard work and beautiful flowers have done us proud yet again! ❤️

Thank you to Newquay in Bloom for this lovely recognition.

Adrian, we think you’ve earned yourself a cuppa! ☕😂

👇 And here’s the post we shared THIS MORNING, before we even knew we’d won!

🍂🌸 OUT WITH SUMMER, IN WITH AUTUMN WINTER … AND A LITTLE SPRING SURPRISE! 🌷🌼
If you visited The Griffin over the summer, you’ll have noticed our beautiful hanging baskets bursting with colour! 🌺☀️

And what a summer they had! They absolutely THRIVED, giving us months of gorgeous flowers and brightening up the pub for everyone to enjoy. ❤️

Well, the seasons are changing, and our wonderful local gardening wizard Adrian from Trevail Farm Nursery in Cubert has been back to work his magic once again! 🌿👏

🌸 Our summer baskets have had their winter makeover, freshly planted with beautiful winter pansies to keep a splash of colour around The Griffin through the colder months.

🌷 And he’s already thinking ahead to spring! Adrian has been busy planting daffodil, tulip and other spring bulbs, ready to burst into life when the warmer days return.

It’s lovely knowing that while we’re heading into autumn and winter, there’s already something beautiful growing beneath the soil waiting for spring! 🌱💛

A MASSIVE thank you to Adrian for another incredible summer of flowers and for keeping The Griffin looking lovely throughout the seasons. 🌺

🏆 His beautiful displays have even helped us win Newquay in Bloom multiple times over the years!

❤️ AND HERE’S WHY WE LOVE SUPPORTING LOCAL…
Adrian doesn’t have a fancy website or a big social media presence. He’s simply a hardworking local grower with years of experience, a nursery full of beautiful plants and a real passion for what he does.

So, we’re giving him another little shout out! 👏

If you’re thinking about refreshing your own garden, planting spring bulbs or adding some winter colour, why not give Adrian a visit?

👨‍🍳❤️ YOU SEE THE FOOD… NOW MEET THE ALL THE TEAM BEHIND IT. ❤️👨‍🍳 🍁
We show you plenty of food here at The Griffin our Sunday Carveries, specials, pub favourites and very soon, all those Christmas lunches and festive party meals… 🎄🍽️

But what about the people actually cooking it?

THIS is our kitchen team. 👏
We’ve introduced some of our kitchen team individually before, but it’s not often we get the chance to show you the whole team together the people behind the food you see coming out of The Griffin kitchen every day. 👏

Simon, Josh, Stuart, Darryl and our slightly more camera-shy Andy the people behind the scenes preparing, cooking, carving, cleaning and keeping one very busy Griffin kitchen moving.

And with Christmas getting closer, this kitchen is only going to get busier… 🎄🥂
So when your roast, festive dinner or favourite Griffin dish lands on the table, you now know the faces behind it.

Team Griffin. Made here. Cooked here. Carved fresh. ❤️
And we’re proud to show you behind the scenes too.
