What a lovely evening watching the solar eclipse! ☀️🌚

The atmosphere was fantastic literally straight across the road from The Bunker, with other areas looking rammed and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen the car park across from us full before!

Staying with us during the World Cup? ⚽

Ocean Breeze is right across the road from The Bunker and will be showing most of the games. The perfect spot for a pint, a burger, and some football with fellow fans! 🍻🍔

They’ve got a great team over there, and if the sun’s shining, we’d recommend getting there early to grab a seat outside. ☀️

We’ve got a new book on our shelf and it’s pretty awesome 📖

We had a lovely chap called Martyn (trail_planner) visit us in 2022 whilst walking the coast path and a couple of years later he got in touch to let us know he’d written a book about his walking adventures along the worlds longest coast path and that The Bunker had its own little feature. We’re very proud of Martyn (and of ourselves!) 🥳

This is Martyn’s second book, his first is Tales from the Big Trails and we would totally recommend that one too. Both are available from Amazon and Waterstones or a couple of other good bookshops!

If you fancy seeing something a bit different, down the road in Poole you can hop on a ferry to Brownsea Island, see lots of birds, search for red squirrels and eat an ice cream. Plus boat loads of history.

All fantastic fun that we’d totally recommend! 🐿️
