April first 2014 we got the phone call confirming we had purchased the property the Runaway Pineapple Lodge now sits on. For years it's been a joke that maybe the whole thing was an April Fool's joke, but it's not a joke, it was a dream. A crazy dream we said yes to. And now we fill our days with ocean waves, watching lizards, swimming in the pool, and chasing sunsets. But this dream is too big for us to enjoy on our own. Come enjoy the place that started as just a dream, and maybe you'll find a new dream of your own.

19 years ago today we first stepped foot on the island of Roatan Honduras. We were on a cruise but the reason we were on that cruise was because flying to Roatan was too expensive at the time. Roatan was the reason for that trip. We didn't know why at the time. Now our dreams have run away with us and the Runaway Pineapple Lodge is growing more each year. So raise a glass with us this St. Patrick's Day 🍀 to running away with your dreams, even when they don't make sense at the time.
