A great spot just across from the gondola.
The cabins have everything you need. The beds are comfortable and the private spas are great. We loved the outdoor pool and playground as well, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
We highly recommend this place:

New Zealand has some incredible bird species you won't find a

One of these is the grey warbler, a tiny, often overlooked bird, even though it's quite common. The riroriro, or grey warbler, is just 10 to 11 cm long.

What's fascinating is its role as a foster parent for the sneaky shining cuckoo. The cuckoo lays its egg in the warbler's nest, and when the chicks hatch, the grey warbler ends up raising the cuckoo chick as its own.

You can often hear the male riroriro "warbling" in the forest. A really long, attractive, distinctive bubbling call.

Originally a forest dweller, the grey warbler has adapted to various environments due to human changes to the landscape. Now, you can spot this resilient bird almost anywhere, from sea level up to 1,400 meters!
