If you’re heading into Austin for a shopping day, there are a few places locals and visitors both keep coming back to.

The Domain & Domain NORTHSIDE are some of the most popular, filled with everything from well-known brands to restaurants and places to spend the afternoon.

South Congress is a completely different feel, local shops, vintage finds, and spots where you’ll come across things you didn’t even know you were looking for.

It’s one of those cities where shopping feels less like a task and more like part of the experience.

The Daily Deluxe sites at Oak Forest are set up to make your stay feel a little more comfortable from the start.

Each site includes a concrete patio, upgraded outdoor furniture, and a gas grill, so you have your own space to relax, cook, and spend time outside.

They’re also located close to key amenities like the pool, bathhouses, and BBQ pavilion, which makes everything easy to get to without feeling crowded.

It’s a setup that works well whether you’re here for a short stay or settling in a little longer.

One of the things people appreciate most about Oak Forest is where it’s located.

You’re close enough to Austin to enjoy everything it has to offer, downtown, COTA, the rodeo grounds, live music, restaurants, but just far enough removed to avoid the parts that can make the city feel overwhelming.

No sitting in constant traffic, no circling for parking, no feeling like you’re in the middle of the rush all the time.

Instead, you can head into the city when you want to, and come back to a place that feels more relaxed, more open, and easier to settle into.

It’s that balance that makes a big difference during your stay.

Saturdays at Oak Forest have their own rhythm, especially with the Farm Stand open.

It’s a chance to slow down, walk through, and see what’s available that week, fresh items, locally grown goods, and a little bit of everything depending on the season.

Some people make it part of their routine, others just stop by out of curiosity, but it’s one of those things that adds something extra to the weekend.

It’s simple, local, and easy to enjoy.

Debbie described Oak Forest as “top notch”, and her experience really reflects what people notice during their stay.

She mentioned how well maintained the resort is, how much space there is between sites, and how the mature trees create a setting that feels comfortable and established.

What stood out most was the mix of people, full-time residents, travelers, and tiny home living—all sharing the same space in a way that works naturally.

She also pointed out the details that matter, clean, private restrooms, a spacious laundry room, and thoughtful amenities like the dog washing station.

And even with everything happening on-site, she appreciated how close it is to downtown Austin, just a short drive when you want to explore.

It’s the kind of stay that leaves a lasting impression.

Sometimes the best way to know if a place is right for you is to spend a little time there first.

At Oak Forest, you can book a one-night stay, take a tour of the property, and really get a feel for what day-to-day life looks like here. Walk the grounds, explore the amenities, and see how everything fits together.

If you decide to stay longer, 28 days or more, you’ll receive $75 off your extended booking.

It’s a simple way to experience it for yourself before making a bigger decision.

April, May, and June are Austin's window.

Mornings start cool enough for coffee on the patio. Afternoons warm into pool weather. Evenings settle into that 75-degree stretch that was made for the firepit.

The city is in full swing too. Moontower Comedy in April, ATX TV Fest in May, Hot Luck and Juneteenth running through Memorial Day weekend. Hill Country wildflowers on the drives west. And the farmers market next door every Saturday morning.

The trick to doing Austin in spring is staying close enough to be in it, far enough to actually rest from it. 10 minutes from downtown. Concrete pads, fiber internet, big rigs welcome.

Book your spring or summer stay.

The playground at Oak Forest does more than the equipment suggests.

Two kids from two different states meet at the slide. Five minutes later they're best friends, building something out of mulch and rules nobody wrote down. Their parents catch eyes from the benches, end up swapping rig stories, end up trading day-trip recommendations.

That's most evenings out here. Families pulled in for a long weekend or a long stay, all ending up in the same spot before dinner without anyone planning it.

The kind of community moment that's hard to put in a brochure but easy to feel the first time you're in it.

Monthly sites from $800. Short stays available.

Four days of panels, screenings, and cast reunions you can't get anywhere else. Season 15 brings the Friday Night Lights 20th-anniversary cast reunion (Connie Britton, Kyle Chandler, Jesse Plemons, the full Dillon lineup) and a 30th-anniversary Everybody Loves Raymond panel with Ray Romano and Phil Rosenthal.

It's been called "TV camp for grown-ups," and that's about right. Long days downtown talking shop with showrunners and fellow fans, then back to Oak Forest for the pool, the firepit, and a slow morning before you do it again.

10 minutes from downtown. Big rigs welcome. The smart way to do festival weekends in Austin.

Walter shared that his time at Oak Forest felt easy from start to finish, and that’s something that came through in the details he noticed.

He talked about the spacious sites that are simple to pull into, the shade that makes a real difference during warmer days, and the way everything across the property is consistently taken care of.

He also mentioned the amenities, the pool, hot tub, laundry, and dog park, and how each one felt clean, maintained, and ready to use without a second thought.

But what stayed with him most was the overall feeling of the place. Close enough to Austin to enjoy everything it offers, but far enough to come back and settle in at the end of the day.

It’s that balance that makes people want to return.
