Destination Bellaire

Destination Bellaire To create awareness of the Village of Bellaire and find ways to promote everything Bellaire has to offer its residents and guests throughout the year including eclectic shopping, dining, entertainment and four-season recreational activities.
(16)

As you will see, our lovely Village has much to offer its visitors as well as its residents. It's a wonderful place to live, raise a family or retire. Water is the backdrop of life in Bellaire, the county seat. Swimming, boating, fishing and beach-combing are summer activities that give way in the fall to driving tours along some of Michigan's most scenic back roads. In the winter, snowmobile trails, sledding spots and Shanty Creek's ski slopes provide plenty of fun. Golf swings into action in the spring as the area heats up again. The Village's 1,200 residents know how to throw a party. Each August the town has a fabulous Annual Rubber Ducky Festival downtown with food, arts, crafts, a parade and a Rubber Ducky Race. Other annual activities include September's Harvest Festival & Scarecrow Extravaganza, a Holiday Gift Fair, Light Up The Night, 5k Run/Walk, Parade, Soup Cook-Off and much more. Check our site often to view upcoming events. Get to know Bellaire by visiting our unique gift, clothing and art shops as well as great places to eat and drink, plus a traditional movie theater make Bellaire a day-into-evening destination. Bellaire has numerous accommodations including Award winning Bed & Breakfasts, Motels, Inns, Resorts, cabins as well as parks and campgrounds. We look forward to your visit to Bellaire! - See more at: http://www.bellairechamber.com/#sthash.KjYMEUYE.dpuf

Lake for Every Day of the Week

Monday –Upper Chain of Lakes – (Ellsworth to Central Lake) – Explore this intimate waterway filled with sunning turtles, bald eagles and large pike.

Tuesday – Intermediate Lake – Great for tubing and fishing. Venture south of Central Lake about half way down the lake to discover a sand bar for lounging, playing catch or letting the kids swim.

Wednesday – Lake Bellaire – The world record muskie was caught several years ago in Lake Bellaire. Explore the lake from the north arm to the south with sand bars, hidden nooks along the shore and open water for waterskiing.

Thursday – Grass River Natural Area – Nature abounds in the watery natural area. Explore the natural flora and fauna while boating along this “no wake” river connecting Lake Bellaire to Clam Lake.

Friday – Clam Lake – Known for great fishing with largemouth bass, northern pike, walleye, bluegill and perch. Grab your rod and head out for a day of relaxation.

Saturday - Torch Lake- Explore the 17 mile lake that National Geographic once named the “#3 Most Beautiful Lake in the World.” From the Sand Bar at the south end to the quiet waters at the north, enjoy the day swimming, skiing, tubing or catching glimpses of spectacular homes along its shores. Stop by Dockside for a bit to eat along the way and watch fellow boaters on the crystal blue water.

Sunday- Explore one of the many other lakes off the “Chain.”
