🐢🌴 NORTH CAPTIVA FUN FACT!

One of our favorite island neighbors is the gopher tortoise - and spotting one tucked away like this never gets old!

Fun fact: Gopher tortoises are serious little engineers. Their burrows can stretch more than 40 feet and provide shelter for hundreds of other animal species. That’s why they’re often called a “keystone species” - their underground homes help support an entire island ecosystem. 🌿🐢

And remember: if you spot one, admire from a distance and let them go about their very important tortoise business. ❤️

There’s just something about this view. 🌊☀️

Our favorite ride doesn’t have four wheels - it has twin Mercurys, an endless blue horizon, and a wake that makes it pretty hard to think about anything waiting back on land.

Salt air. Sunshine. Turquoise water. No traffic. No schedule. Just point the boat toward the horizon and GO. 🚤💨

This will forever be our favorite way to explore the waters around North Captiva Island and Southwest Florida. Some people call it boating… we call it therapy. 💙

Some sunsets make you stop what you’re doing. This was definitely one of them. 🌴🔥🌅

North Captiva Island showing off again - because apparently a regular sunset just wasn’t going to cut it tonight.

No filter needed. No rush to be anywhere. Just palm trees, the dock, water reflecting the sky, and one of those “wow…look at THAT” moments that never gets old.

This is one of our favorite things about island life. You can spend the entire day on the water, at the beach, or exploring Southwest Florida…and somehow Mother Nature still saves the best show for last. ❤️
