Some traditions just get better with time. 🎣

We’ve had the privilege of hosting this father-and-son trip at The Lodge at Eagle Rock for many years, and it’s always special to welcome them back. Year after year, they return to the Missouri River for great fishing, time together, plenty of stories and another chapter of memories.

These are the trips that remind us what this place is really about—not just the fishing, but the friendships, traditions and time spent with the people who matter most.

We’re grateful to be a small part of their tradition and look forward to many more years of welcoming them back! ❤️🎣

Yesterday we had the pleasure of celebrating a big milestone—our Chef, Geoffrey’s 50th birthday! 🎉🎂

Geoffrey has been part of The Lodge at Eagle Rock from the very beginning and has played such an important role in making the lodge what it is today. His talent, creativity, and incredible food are a huge part of the experience we provide our guests—and one of the many reasons they return year after year.

We’re grateful for everything Geoffrey brings to the lodge and our team. Please join us in wishing him a very Happy 50th Birthday! Here’s to many more great meals, memories, and celebrations! 🥂🎉

Yesterday’s rain left its mark, and the Missouri is showing it today. The river is carrying a little extra color and flow, but there’s something special about seeing it in a different light. The air feels fresh, and the river continues its journey through Montana’s beautiful landscape.

Every day on the Missouri tells a different story, and today’s story is one of renewal after the rain. 🎣🌧️☀️

From rising trout to newborn antelope, spring on the Missouri River is full of life! It’s a special time to be in Montana, and we’re lucky to witness moments like this at The Lodge at Eagle Rock!

Spring has officially sprung on the Missouri River! 🌼 The water temperatures are rising, the rainbows are active, and the PMDs are blowing up, spring baetis are hanging in there and caddis are showing up in the canyon! Dry fly fishing is good with big hatches in the afternoons. Who is ready to get those lines wet this season? Drop a comment if you have a trip booked this year!!

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at the Lodge! 💐 Shoutout to all the moms out there keeping their “goslings” in a row today and everyday! We hope you get to relax and enjoy the day. Now THAT is how you do a week at the lodge!! 🎣 A huge shoutout to for landing this absolute beauty brown trout this week! The colors on this fish were stunning, but the smile on her face says it all. Moments like these are exactly why we love what we do. Nice work ! Hope to see you back on the water soon!

Spring on the Missouri River brings more than just rising fish….it brings travelers of a different kind. These American Avocets stopped along the gravel bars this week, showing off their cinnamon-colored heads and perfectly curved bills. Just passing through on their way to the Gulf, but always a welcome sight at the lodge. Another reminder that this river is full of life - above and below the surface!
