Spring has officially sprung on the Missouri River! 🌼 The water temperatures are rising, the rainbows are active, and the PMDs are blowing up, spring baetis are hanging in there and caddis are showing up in the canyon! Dry fly fishing is good with big hatches in the afternoons. Who is ready to get those lines wet this season? Drop a comment if you have a trip booked this year!!

Now THAT is how you do a week at the lodge!! 🎣 A huge shoutout to for landing this absolute beauty brown trout this week! The colors on this fish were stunning, but the smile on her face says it all. Moments like these are exactly why we love what we do. Nice work ! Hope to see you back on the water soon!

Spring on the Missouri River brings more than just rising fish….it brings travelers of a different kind. These American Avocets stopped along the gravel bars this week, showing off their cinnamon-colored heads and perfectly curved bills. Just passing through on their way to the Gulf, but always a welcome sight at the lodge. Another reminder that this river is full of life - above and below the surface!
