Today, we’re celebrating 39 years of R-W. ✨🎈

What began nearly four decades ago as a small, service-driven procurement consultancy (then known as Bray Associates, later Bray Whaler) has evolved into R-W Purchasing Partners: a dedicated team continuing the tradition of thoughtful, transparent hospitality procurement.

Like any long journey, ours has included both growth and challenge. The past few years have been a period of rebuilding, reflection, and renewal — and we’re proud of the steady progress we’ve made. What has remained constant is our belief that meaningful partnerships, integrity in our work, and care for the details are what truly make the difference.

R-W team recently had the privilege of visiting the newly revamped Waldorf Astoria New York Hotel & Residences—a project that truly stands at the intersection of legacy and innovation. After an extensive restoration with interiors led by Pierre-Yves Rochon (PYR) on the Hotel side and Jean-Louis Denoit on the Residences side, the landmark property has been reimagined for the next generation of luxury hospitality and living.

Huge congratulations and heartfelt thanks go to team members Leslie Ransdell, Juliana Alvarez-Macrina, Catherine Weddle, and Lori Rausch for their dedication and passion.

Owned by Xenia Hotels & Resorts, the property has undergone a remarkable $115 million phased renovation and rebrand from Hyatt Regency. The transformation includes refined guestrooms, expanded meeting spaces, elevated poolside experiences, and the addition of a new spa and F&B venues.
