The Chateau Country Inn Overlooking the St. The Chateau is a Country Inn located in Clayton NY on the shore of the St. Lawrence River and Seaway in the 1000 Islands.

Captain's Cottage features 4 bedrooms/3bathrooms, full kitchen, washer/dryer and more! You'll enjoy great views of the majestic St Lawrence River and magnificent sunsets. The Chateau offers four themed rooms with private bath and a suite with bedroom, small kitchen, eating area, living room and deck. All rooms have use off a full kitchen, family room and screened porch. Continental Breakfast served each morning for overnight guests. Stay two for more nights and receive two free Boat Tours on Clayton Island Tours! Dockage is available on the property with prior arrangement guests. The Chateau welcomes children and is a smoke free environment. We can help you arrange, Boat Tours with Clayton Island Tours, Spa Packages, Fishing Charters, Scuba Guides, Kayak Rentals, and Boat Charters for groups. The Clayton Country Golf Club, two marinas, and The Clipper Inn Restaurant are all located within 1/2 mile of the Chateau. We are also situated within a mile of the Clayton Downtown Business District with three Museums and The Clayton Opera house. Spend the afternoon strolling through unique shops and art galleries along the waterfront. Don't miss the opportunity to learn about Clayton's rich history with a tour of the Antique Boat Museum, Thousand Islands Museum and The Thousand Islands Arts Center. The Clayton Opera House also presents outstanding performances throughout the summer season. Also located on the property is Clayton Island Tours with scheduled daily departures to Boldt Castle and 2 Nation Tour, Rock Island Lighthouse State Park on a Glass Bottom Boat, 2 Nation Tour through US and Canadian Waters (No Passport Required), Sunday Socials on the St. Lawrence, Wednesday Night Sunset Cruises, Special Event Cruises among the Islands of the St. Lawrence River, and Tour Boats are available for any Group Charter.

𝗪𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗔 𝗙𝗘𝗪 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗦!

We're still looking for volunteers to help with our popular 𝗕𝗕𝗤 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 this Saturday, October 17!

We have a few important spots left to fill, and we'd love your help!

Volunteers will be stationed with our BBQ teams, helping collect tasting tickets and hand out BBQ samples to attendees during the competition. It's a fun, easy way to be part of the action while 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝗕𝗤 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀!

We're only asking for a little over an hour of your time, but your help would make a BIG difference, not only for the competition but for the local organizations that benefit from it!

🎃 PUNKIN' CHUNKIN' PARKING & SHUTTLE INFORMATION - PLEASE SHARE TO HELP SPREAD THE WORD!

Heading to Punkin' Chunkin' in Clayton on Saturday, October 17? Here's what you need to know about parking and getting to the festival!

🅿️ FREE PARKING & SHUTTLE SERVICE
To help reduce traffic congestion downtown, visitors are encouraged to take advantage of FREE parking and shuttle service available at two convenient locations:
• Cerow Recreation Park Arena – East Line Road
• Guardino Elementary School – High Street
Free shuttles will operate from 9 AM to 6 PM, with pickups approximately every 15–20 minutes, depending on traffic. Shuttles will take visitors to the downtown drop-off area near Jreck Subs, corner of Riverside Drive & James St.

♿ HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE PARKING & SHUTTLE SERVICE
Accessible parking and handicap shuttle service are available at:
• Rec Park Pavilion – Graves Street
• Lions Field Parking Lot – Webb Street
Free shuttles will operate from 9 AM to 6 PM, with pickups approximately every 15–20 minutes, depending on traffic. Shuttles will take visitors to the corner of Webb St & Hugunin St by the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel.

🚧 IMPORTANT ROAD CLOSURES & TRAFFIC CHANGES
Please be aware of temporary traffic restrictions during the festival:
• Portions of Webb Street, Merrick Street, and Riverside Drive will be closed.
• Hugunin and Jane Streets will have one-way traffic.
• Portions of Webb, John, and Franklin Streets will be restricted to local traffic only.

Please plan ahead, follow posted signs, and allow extra time for travel. Taking advantage of the free shuttle service is a great way to avoid downtown congestion and enjoy everything Punkin' Chunkin' has to offer!
