Ever wonder what is all involved with closing down Ludlows Island Resort?

As we reach our final days of the season things begin to slow down

The days become shorter and we begin closing everything up and preparing for our 2026 season

This time of year is one we all enjoy as it gives us time to reflect on the year and express our gratitude for all that was, all that is, and all that will be for the upcoming 2026 Season

Bayside - 1970

Bayside was built by Hod and Lil Ludlow in 1970 as a home to live in after selling the resort to Mark. They resided there until 1975 when they decided they would like to live on the mainland with access to their car. They purchased Evergreen cabin and moved across the lake. Mark could not afford to purchase the cabin, so it was sold to a guest and Mark and Sally repurchased it in 1980.

Bayside was originally 3 bedrooms and was remodeled in 1998 to become two bedrooms and two baths.

Table lamps of metal tree cut outs and birch lampshades were made by an artisan in Colorado.

The tools are some of the collection of old tools that were used by Hod Ludlow in cabin construction.
