Happy , campers!

This week, we're heading to the Hoosier State’s Land of 101 Lakes. This campground is a lakeside retreat, perfectly positioned off the longest road in the U.S. This is year-round camping at its finest, whether you're here to stay or just passing through.

While KOAs offer a consistent basecamp across North America, the landscapes surrounding them are entirely unique. Take, for instance, our northernmost and southernmost campgrounds.

It's time for , campers!

Combine prehistoric finds with all the benefits of modern camping at this week's KOA. Strategically located near Route 191, this campground is the perfect pit stop for Western road trippers.

The campground's variety of RV sites accommodates everyone, from the van lifers to the motorhome enthusiasts. Choose from pull-thru, back-in, or KOA Patio sites and spend less time setting up and more time relaxing. No RV? No problem. Stay in a ultra-comfy Deluxe Cabin or a classic tent site.

The area is known for its abundance of dino finds. Under 20 miles away is Dinosaur National Monument, where you can see over 1,500 fossils on exposed cliff face. Other state parks in the area provide boating and fishing with views of dinosaur tracks along the way. After you've channeled your inner paleontologist, camp is a welcome respite. Challenge your fellow campers to a game of horseshoes or giant jenga, cool off in the pool, or take in a movie under the stars.

The runners for Run Crazy Horse lined up early to get their bibs in Hill City this morning. Run starts Sunday at 8 am. 13.1 for some, 26.2 for a few others, 5 runner relay is in the works too. Regardless of the distance, the course and conditions are enjoying this wonderful autumn weather. Come enjoy the Black Hills in the fall. Nothing like it. Hill City / Needles Hwy KOA Holiday

Don't be sad - the camping season is not over until after the Run Crazy Horse! This unique run starts in the shadows of the famous Crazy Horse monument and ends in Hill City. This marathon, half marathon, and team relay event is in it's 16th year. The course follows an old rail line meaning gradual elevation changes, no more than 4-5%, after departing the Monument. This is a supported event with Aid Stations as well as the courses being USATF Certified, and friendly for those of us who walk and don't run.
