'The Creek' in the 90s🤙

This place has been part of family memories for over 100 years.

These photos from the 90s are a reminder that long before the cottage was restored to 'Piscataway Point', the creek was already doing what it does best, which is bringing people together🙌

Holiday weekends, summer afternoons, cookouts, creek swims, and memories that somehow stay with you forever.

We know many of you are keeping an eye on the weather forecast for RivahFest — and trust us, so are we! 👀

Right now, some forecast models are showing the possibility of a little drizzle on Saturday. As anyone who lives around here knows, forecasts can change quickly this far out, and we are continuing to monitor conditions closely.

But one thing is certain: 🎉 RivahFest is a RAIN OR SHINE event! 🎉

Of course, we are all hoping for plenty of sunshine, blue skies, and perfect festival weather ☀️🎶🦀 … but we are also planning ahead and preparing for the possibility of some rain too. Our team is working hard to make sure everyone can still have a safe, fun, and memorable day no matter what Mother Nature decides to do.

So don’t let the forecast scare you away. Toss a poncho in the car just in case, lace up your festival shoes, and come ready for:
🎵 Live music
🍔 Great food
🛍️ Amazing vendors
🦀 Crab races
🎡 Family fun
🎉 And the return of one of Tappahannock’s favorite traditions!

A little drizzle has never stopped a great community from having a great time — and we have a feeling this is going to be a very special day. ❤️
