The Madison River means a great deal to our guides, guests, and the generations of anglers who have spent time on its waters.

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is currently accepting public comment on proposed fishing regulations for 2027 and 2028. The public comment period closes September 24.

At Madison Double R, we support catch and release fishing and barbless hooks throughout the Madison River. We believe thoughtful stewardship is essential to protecting the fishery and the experience it provides for future generations.
We encourage fellow anglers and friends of the Madison to review the proposed regulations, consider the issues, and make their own voices heard through the public comment process.

Public comment closes September 24.
