The calendar may say late August, but to us, summer is far from over. Door County still holds a full roster of activities through September. In celebration of this time of year, we're offering our Endless Summer Package. Enjoy two midweek nights of lodging in a 1-bedroom suite or Inn room. Your stay begins with a complimentary Chocolate Truffle Plate delivered to your room. The package also includes passage for two on a narrated 1.5 hour cruise that offers many points of interest; among them Eagle Bluff Lighthouse, Horseshoe Island, Nicolet Bay, Eagle Bluff Caves & Eagle Tower. Once a year, PenArt welcomes celebrated outdoor artists to paint Door County and offers their works for sale as their main fundraising event. Here are the events for the rest of this special week!
THUR. JULY 23
Artists Paint in Egg Harbor and Sturgeon Bay 11am—2pm
Lecture with the Festival Judge 2:30pm—3:30pm at PenArt. Ticketed Event.
SAT. JULY 25
Quick Paint 9—11am in Downtown Fish Creek / Watch the 2026 invited artists complete a painting from start to finish during the fast-paced Quick Paint.
Kids Paint 9am—Noon at PenArt / Kids can also join in the excitement of the Quick Paint! Grab-n-go art kits available, while supplies last. Works may be shared in PenArt's Children’s Gallery.
Open Door Celebration 11am—4pm at PenArt / View the week's works in the gallery, tour the campus, enjoy a beverage, grab some lunch, and take home a memory of Door County on canvas. All works for sale. Music by Cathy Grier 11am-12pm.

It's Cherry Season in Door County! In Northern Door, two family businesses, Seaquist Orchards in north Sister Bay and Lautenbach's Market & Winery in Fish Creek offer pick-your-own opportunities. Sweet cherries are ripe now and available only at Seaquist's, while tart cherries will be ready towards the end of July and ready for picking at both orchards. Call for details and exact timing on this year's harvests of tart cherries.

In its 47th year, the DCC is the original century distance cycling event welcoming 3,000 riders each year to the scenic Door County peninsula. Not a race, all participants ride at their own pace, choosing to ride one of four designated course lengths: 30, 50, 70 or 100 miles, with their paid registration. Choose your route anytime…even after you’re on the road!
