Union Democrats announced the end of seasonal residential burn permits, BUT you can still have campfires as long as you have a valid campfire permit! You can get yours online, at Forest Service Ranger Station or the Yosemite Basecamp Visitor Center in Downtown Groveland!

Today, they are helping visitors explore the backroads of the Stanislaus National Forest, discover breathtaking views beyond Yosemite’s crowds, and experience a side of our region that most travelers never get to see.

The Tioga Rd, which is also known as Hwy 120 running east and west through the park, will temporarily close today, May 26, at 5 pm due to a forecast of snow.

No current reopening time or date has been announced, but snow and rain is expected through Friday.

Stop into the Yosemite Basecamp in Downtown Groveland or call 209/372-0200 (then 1,1) for
updates.

Hetch Hetchy and many lots inside of Yosemite Valley are full. Be prepared for delays.

We believe tomorrow should be much calmer, so we recommend delaying entry of your schedule allows.

The National Park is encouraging visitors to please visit other areas of the park.

All parking is full in Yosemite Valley and the lines are starting to grow at the entrance station. We recommend exploring your gateway community and heading into the park this evening.
