It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Camp Pinecliffe administrator, Gerri Baker, who passed away this morning.

Gerri was part of the Pinecliffe family for more than 35 years, and it’s impossible to imagine camp without her. She was one of the kindest, most positive people you could ever meet. Gerri somehow remembered everything about everyone—always asking about staff members’ families, checking in, and making you feel truly seen. Her desk drawers were always stocked with candy, her sense of humor was unmatched, and her love for Ohio State was legendary.

Gerri was deeply loved by generations of campers, staff, families, and alumni, and her presence touched countless lives. She will be missed more than words can say.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her daughter Lisa, her husband Joel, and her grandson Jaysen during this incredibly difficult time.

Gerri, thank you for everything. You will always be a part of Camp Pinecliffe. ❤️
