As advertised, High Island remained high and dry during Hurricane Beryl, and at the RV park we lost power a couple times for a combined 3 hours. To everyone who stored your trailers and belongings at the park and our storage, you'll be happy to know there is no damage whatsoever. We lost a few tree branches in the park but no contact with any RVs! The storm continued well into the 2 oclock hour here in High Island specifically, but we are safe and sound with power.

We had our first official community event at the park today - Easter dinner potluck in our brand new event center! I’m so happy to share with everyone that Payton’s Lounge features a pool table, 2 TVs, a decorative grass wall with a neon sign for photos, AC, dart board, and, here’s the big surprise, a BREWERY. That’s right, High Island Brewing will be in the right corner, and we hope to start officially brewing within weeks! Here are some photos from today’s potluck. Happy Easter!
