Today we celebrate Labor Day and our team here at the Naniloa. Tomorrow we pray that our Kauai Ohana will not need to go through what our island faces post Lala.

Employees of the Grand Naniloa Hotel who live in Hilo, Mountain View and Volcano were without power for up to a week, but almost everyone still came to work.

Hawai'i Island has weathered quite the storm in the past few weeks, and if there's one thing that shines through during moments like these, it's the spirit of our island 'ohana.

Today is also National Hotel Employee Day, and there's no better time to say THANK YOU to our incredible team. Behind every smooth check-in, every working elevator, and every moment of care during times of frustration and need, this team has shown up and rolled up their sleeves, making sure our guests and community feel taken care of. Employees like Elson, pictured, who came to work during the storm without even being asked, are the life force of our community.

We're so proud of our staff's dedication and hard work, and we can't wait to share more about the amazing things they've done to keep the hotel, our guests, and especially our community, safe and comfortable.

We're happy to share that everything here at the hotel is running smoothly. Elevators are moving, valet service is in full swing, our golf course is open, and the AC is keeping things cool and comfortable throughout the property.
