💙 HELP SUPPORT CAMP MOJA — AND GET A PRETTY AWESOME SHIRT WHILE YOU’RE AT IT! 💙

We have a fun and different fundraising opportunity happening right now, and we’d love for our Moja family, friends, and supporters to help us spread the word!

Camp Moja exists to create a week where adults with developmental disabilities are surrounded by inclusion, dignity, choice, friendship, and laughter — a place where they are seen for who they are, make their own choices, build friendships, try new things, and experience a week that truly feels like their week.

And because Camp Moja is completely volunteer-run, fundraisers like this make a HUGE difference in helping us continue to provide that experience. 💙

👕 Here’s the cool part:
There are TWO fun designs and FOUR shirt options to choose from, with adult sizes XS–3XL.

Shirts start at $22 + tax/processing fees, and $7 from every shirt purchased under Camp Moja’s participant name comes directly back to Moja! There is no minimum number of shirts we have to sell.

🛍️ SHOP HERE:

https://kcbleachermomllc.itemorder.com/shop?saleCode=HK8Z9

IMPORTANT: When checking out, you MUST select Camp Moja as the participant name so your purchase gets credited to us!

📅 Orders close Sunday, October 11 at 11:59 PM Central.
There will be no late orders or cancellations, and shirts will be made after the store closes.

📍 One important catch: There is no individual shipping. All Camp Moja orders will be picked up together in Independence, MO, and then distributed to buyers.

So this fundraiser is best for our local supporters OR anyone who has a friend or family member in the area who can pick up their shirt for them.

Every shirt = $7 toward Camp Moja.
Every dollar helps us continue creating a place where people are valued, included, and given the opportunity to simply be themselves.

If you love what Moja stands for, grab a shirt, share this post, and help us spread a little Moja magic! 💙

💙 You Are Invited to Celebrate the Life of Daniel "Danny" Keith Jones 💙

Please join us as we gather to celebrate the life of our dear friend, Danny Jones, on Saturday, July 25, at 2:45 p.m. at Lee's Summit Community of Christ.

Danny touched countless lives through his joyful spirit and involvement in his church, Special Olympics, Camp Moja, Lake Doniphan reunions, Boy Scouts, and so much more. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome—and if you knew Danny, chances are you were greeted with one of his unforgettable hugs.

Whether you knew Danny for a lifetime or just a moment, we invite you to come together as we honor the love, joy, and kindness he shared so freely. We hope you'll join us as we celebrate a life that brought so much happiness to so many.

Way to represent, Eric! You are a champion in our eyes, and the entire Moja family is cheering you on! We can't wait to have you back at Camp Moja next year 💙💛

A huge thank you to Sinclair’s Restaurant and their incredible staff for once again welcoming the Camp Moja team with open arms.

Every summer, after a week filled with laughter, memories, and very little sleep, Sinclair’s opens their doors to our staff for a much-needed celebration. They feed us, serve us with kindness, and somehow manage to embrace all of the loud, chaotic, post-camp delirium that comes along with us.

What means the most is that they don’t just accommodate us—they celebrate with us. This year, the staff even dressed up as Mario characters to show their support and help us keep the Camp Moja spirit alive. Their excitement for our annual visit means more than they probably realize.

After pouring our hearts into creating an unforgettable week for our campers, having a place where we can gather, laugh, reflect, and celebrate together has become a tradition we cherish.

Thank you, Sinclair’s, for your generosity, your patience, your enthusiasm, and your continued support of Camp Moja. We are so grateful to have found a place that feels like part of our camp family.

We appreciate you more than words can say. ❤️Sinclair's Restaurant

As we wrap up another incredible week of Camp Moja, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

To every person who donated, purchased from our wish list, shared our posts, sponsored a camper, volunteered, or supported us in any way—thank you. Because of you, more than 75 amazing individuals experienced a week filled with love, laughter, friendship, acceptance, and inclusion unlike anywhere else.

The magic of Camp Moja isn’t found in the activities or decorations. It’s found in the people. It’s found in the joy of being fully seen, fully accepted, and fully celebrated for exactly who you are. This week was filled with unforgettable memories, and none of it would have been possible without your generosity and support.

Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us create what many campers and volunteers call the best week of the year.

Now, after a little rest, we’re already looking ahead to 2027 as we begin planning for a Pixar-inspired adventure! We can’t wait to see where imagination, friendship, and inclusion take us next.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making Camp Moja possible. ❤️

“Because of you, our campers will arrive to a week filled with opportunities, experiences, and memories they deserve.”

Tomorrow begins the week we spend our entire year preparing for.

Our team has spent countless hours brainstorming, meeting over meals, planning, organizing, and tackling project after project—all to create one incredible week of fun, belonging, and memories.

This year feels a little different, though.

This year, all of you stepped in and gave us opportunities to support our campers in ways we simply wouldn’t have been able to otherwise.

Being Camp Director is an incredible honor, but it also comes with tremendous responsibility. While camp is absolutely a team effort, it ultimately falls on the directors to ensure everything comes together and camp happens successfully. More than once this year, we asked for help—and every single time, you showed up for us.

This year, every item on our Amazon wish list was purchased.

This year, every backpack sponsorship was funded.

This year, we unexpectedly lost $5,000 in funding—and you donated that amount and then some.

The success of Camp Moja this year isn’t because of us or our team alone. It’s because our community believed in our mission and made it happen.

“Thank you” doesn’t feel like enough, but thank you.

From the bottom of my heart, I am grateful for every person who donated, purchased an item, shared a post, or helped spread the word about our needs. You played a part in making this week possible.

Tomorrow, we will transform our campground into a Mario Wonderland.

Monday, we will open the gates to 75 incredible campers.

And once again, we will change lives.

I can’t wait.
